Iknaia announces the hire of Rob Furlong as Chief Technology Officer



We’re pleased to announce our new Chief Technology Officer, Rob Furlong. Rob joins after spending 14 years at the Innovate UK KTN working as the Transport Systems Manager, investigating the impact of Transport on society.


“At the KTN I was able to look holistically across all transport modes to establish how we could move people and goods more efficiently and environmentally across disparate and silo’ed transport networks. My role also enabled me to be strategic in relation to the future of Transport; including how bringing new disruptive services and mobility solutions together have the potential to provide, more efficient, lower carbon , customer-centric, and economic end-to-end journeys. Iknaia has exceptional product vision in this space and I’m excited to add my passion and expertise to the mix.” Says Furlong.

Rob has a wealth of experience derived from working 15+ years in industry encompassing military communications, electronics, Internet of Things, software development and systems design. Rob will oversee the development of Iknaia’s environmental monitoring and traffic monitoring solution, Airscan, as well as Iknaia’s tracking platform.
